Proud to be walking funny

Six was very excited about a documentary she'd seen. She told me that a man had gone into the Alaskan wilderness alone, where built a log cabin. He cut the wood himself.

Soon after, it was on TV, and we watched a bit of it together. It was the part where he was trying to finish his fireplace before winter started.

I was impressed, but there were a few things I noticed (but didn't point out to Six). One was that he brought all his tools with him, his clothes, his boots, and other supplies.

Of course, it would have been impossible for him to make EVERYTHING he needed. If he had, he'd have never left home.

He bought his tools from Sears: he let someone else mine the ore, refine the metal, make the handle and assemble it. He bought his boots somewhere: didn't kill a cow, make leather and sew it, let alone form the sole.

What I want to do as Celestial Doghouse is similar. I want to make whatever I can, and if I can't make it, try to do without.

I know, for instance, several places where I can get a good AO, even a free AO. But could I make one? I didn't bother trying until I found (by chance) a box of free animations. Then I searched the web for an AO script.

After modifying the script a bit, and choosing some animations, I dropped them in a prim and attached it as a HUD.

For some reason, the "sexy walk" leans quite visibly to the right. I don't know why, and right now I don't care. I'm just so proud. I'm walking funny, but it's sexy funny, not newbie funny.
